The Women in Science 2023 program was a big success, thanks to the leadership and sponsorship of Keep Loreto Magical, a project of The Ocean Foundation, as well as the many collaborating organizations shown in the flyer, including CONANP, Parque de Nacional Bahia de Loreto, Loreto Puerto de la Ciencia 2023, and others.
The women scientists participated in a roundtable discussion and engaged in local scientific and environmental activities in Loreto.
While the women scientists were in Loreto, they also aided in dune restoration in Nopolo.
Our thanks to all the scientists and organizations that participated, especially The Ocean Foundation’s Sula Vanderplank, Ph.D., who helped lead and organize the program.
