Dennis Hopple
Dennis Hopple retired in 2014 as Vice President of Thunderbird Worldwide, which was part of the Thunderbird School of International Management. Hopple then spent two years as a consultant and advisor to the school, finally retiring in 2016.
He was a founder and President of CBSD/Thunderbird Russia in Moscow Russia. CBSD was owned by Thunderbird School of Global Management located in Glendale Arizona. CBSD/Thunderbird provides training and management development programs to businesses operating in the former Soviet Union. With a staff of 73 including 23 trainers, CBSD is a market leader in Management Development and training.
Mr. Hopple held the position of consultant and Chief Operating Officer of the organization before becoming President in 1996. He has lived in Russia since December of 1994 and been a frequent visitor since 1992.
Before coming to Russia, Hopple was President of Mangelsens Inc., an art, crafts and home decor business based in Omaha, Nebraska.
Hopple also spent 16 years with ConAgra Inc. in the consumer products division. He held numerous management positions in sales and operations. The last position held before leaving ConAgra, was Vice President of Distribution.
Dennis Hopple was the chair of the Human Resource committee of the American Chamber of Commerce in Russia (AmCham) from October 1998 until December 2004 and President of the board of directors for United Way Moscow for 5 years. He’s also a member of the board of FGI Spirit, an international organization tasked with development of leaders through better understanding of themselves and the global market in which they work.
